What is not so obvious is the long term affects of teamwork.

Napolean Hill, one of my favorite authors, discusses this at great length in his book, Think and Grow Rich!: The Original Version, Restored and Revised calling the formation of a special type of team, the "mastermind".

He explains that "no two minds ever come together without, thereby, creating a third, invisible, intangible force which may be likened to a third mind".

He goes on to say that the human brain creates energy and "when a group of individual brains are coordinated and function in harmony, the increased energy created through that alliance becomes available to every individual brain in the group."

It is my sincere hope that the ECO Team can serve as your mastermind.

If that seemed a little space age to you(originally printed in 1960), here is a more tangible, very real reason to join forces.

I had the privilege of being invited to participate in the review process of entrepreneurs seeking capital from investors. There was a "paper" deal screening and then a "pitch practice" where the approved companies presented for the first time. This followed with the formal presentation at the Angel Capital Summit.

In every single presentation the entrepreneurs were asked to discuss the teams behind their ideas. The investors made the statement that no one person can be everything to all people, and wanted to know what the plan was to fill in the gaps.

Don't be alarmed, these investors recognized that most start-ups will be one man shops, but, they wanted to know how that was going to change as the business evolved.

The combination of these 2 things makes me realize that there is so much more to this ECO Team than what we originally imagined. It started out to be a group of us experimenting with things and trading results. Daily, it is evolving into something more. And I would like to see it become this powerful third entity that we can all tap into.
